I had one of my co workers chew the leftovers in the back before I bagged it up.

well, I had this lady who always complained that her soup wasn't hot enough (it was steaming) so one day I had had enough, so I microwaved it 'til boiling, and then added hot sauce! She was screaming & waving air at her mouth (does this ever work?) Needless to say, she never asked me to heat up her soup again, and surprisingly, never complained about it!

I totally feel your pain, I'm a server too and waiting on mean people sucks sooo much. I'm pretty sure that whoever made the comment "you'll get 20% if you deserve 20%" has never been a server before. There are a lot of cheap, rude a**holes out there who will give ten percent or less no matter how good of service they have received. So what ends up happening with those tables is we pretty much pay the people to sit there so we can get them about 900 calories worth of refills and watch them fill their fat faces because we are taxed on that tip if we make it or not. All that ranting aside though Ive also gotten tips that were larger than the check itself, so it can go both ways. And what Ive found is when you think every customer is a jerk and won't tip you you're probably going to get bad tips even when you hide it. Its like a subconscious thing they can sense how you feel or something. I just try to remember its only a job and hope that someday ill run into the people that don't tip me and be able to get revenge of some sort ha ha.

As a former restaurant manager, I have let go (fired) many employees for tampering with customers food. Many, many times I have wanted to kick thier (the customers) selfish dumbasses along with thier monster little kids too. However, as a company representative and a "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" kind of guy, I just sucked it up, kissed thier dumbasses, and sometimes gave them the meal on the house.
When all of my niceties and butt kissings were at an end and the idiot customers still kept at me, I called the police and they were arrested and taken to jail (those that were dumb enough to stay on the premisis, which is sadly more than I can count on both hands).

I could right stories of people for hours (most servers/bartenders) could that we feel deserve some sort of special treatment, like the world revolves around them. I can personally say I have never done anything to someones food, but I have seen things that were disturbing. Although I had one table once so aggrevated with me I truly wasn't pleasent to these people )I am not a proponent of bringing your kids in the smoking section and just ignoring them etc.) They said to me that they didn't trust me to wrap thier food and that they would wrap it themselves. I looked that for the lack of better words #@%! in the face and told her what makes you think I won't lick your damn togo box. Needless to say she didn't take her food to go, and never did some back.

The younger the people the meaner, though, of course some people were never mean. It's fractal...the younger our species was, the meaner. Thank God it's always getting better...less mean.

Anyone who would be rude to people who are handling their food is just plum stuuuupid!

I had an ex Minnesota Viking come to a Wal-Mart where I worked in the Mcdonalds. First of all nobody really knew him unless they were big Vikings buffs second he charged like $5 for an autograph!! Why would anyone want to pay for an old timers autograph (washed up @$$hole!!) Well he cam to our McDonalds on a break and he was really stuck up and rude. He asked if he could have his food for free. I was the manager at this point in time and I told him he should use some of the money he is "earning" to pay for his own food or give us autographs. He gave everyone but me an autograph so I made him pay for his food and I licked his bun for his sandwhich! What a dick I don't even feel bad...I have never done anything like that ever and honestly it felt good!!!

I have never spit in someones food or done anything nasty like that. However, I have crushed things. I usually will find the smallest to-go box we have and cram all of the food in it. I have smooched it all together in there, and then taped it shut.

I once saw a co-worker spit in this girls pop because they hated each other. The girl just came in to cause trouble, but I guess the joke was on her. I couldn't do it but it's still kinda funny.
