UGH! How can I get her to stop liking me and to TELL THE TRUTH?

Question

As you all know today is Valentine's Day and an annoying fat (not trying to be mean) girl gave me this stupid monkey that says 'I Love You!' but she included a note saying that we were only friends. I know she likes me and she has been liking me forever.

So I go to 1st Period and when it's over I go get ready for 2nd Period and I open my locker to find a Teddy Bear... To: Me, From: Cupid!. I know it was her and she admitted it later on...

After 2nd Period I go to my locker and find a big heart-shaped box of chocolates. I know these are from her too, but she denies it and has been since she found out about them.

She also makes up these stupid boyfriends which I know aren't real because we've never seen him and on AIM they just happen to sign on at the same time and go Idle at the same time.

It's embarassing to be liked by her because everyone at school laughs at me. How can I get her to speak up and get her to stop liking me and telling lies? I'll tell you more about her later...

What do you mean, tell her how I feel? I already told her that I don't like her and she still denies liking me! It's so aggravating!

And for the second answerer, I already have a lot of friends but I know they talk about me behind my back about this situation. And then she ended up telling everybody she gave it to me! It's so stupid and annoying!

Also when I try to avoid her she always pops up randomly and always tries talking to me!

Thanks everyone for all of the answers... but I have already said that I have told her I didn't like her - YEARS ago. She is so hard-headed and it seems like I never told her.

I asked her why she gave it to me and she said "Oh it was just so cute I had to give it to you! Hehehe!" and I just rolled my eyes and told her whatever.

BTW I always try to be nice but she talks more about me than I do to her. Randomly she tells me that I hate going outside (which is where I usually am!) and that I'm no fun, but I really didn't care.

The problem is that I think I'm too nice. I've been trying to be mean to her but she still tries to talk to me. SHE WON'T GO AWAY. D:

well I see your first problem already how dare someone not good enough for you like you look she is peobably lonely and giving a valentine to a friend is better than not getting or giving anything at all I know your peers really give you a hard time about her but let me ask do they know anything about her or even more than her name school is a small part of your life what are you going to do in the real world pick your friends I am not saying date her but come on does it kill you to be nice yes explain that you don't want her as anything more than a friend but also realize you may be the only person who has been somewhat decent to her her whole life it's infatuation if you really want to help her help her in private offer to help her with her weight and maybe style if you aren't even good enough to try that then get out of her life as soon as possible let her find someone who really isn't embarassed that they are seen with her to be truly honest I did that to someone I thought wasn't good enough for me she died later from trying to lose weight to fast with speed and some other pills I found out about it after basic from the marines it was not a good homecoming for me

stop giving her attention, stop hanging out with her, tell her to go away now or you will call the police and have a restraining order put out on her if she is anywhere near you, 500ft usually does it. I know it may seem mean to you but what she is doing is harassment and should be dealt with immediately look what it has done to you thus far an her?!

You have to be up front with her and just tell her you are not interested. Don't do it in a mean way and keep it between you two. You do have to do it though because if she has any hope of getting you she will never give up.

She probably thinks it's fun to bother you if she already knows you don't like her.

She would be heartbroken otherwise.

Maybe have some fun with her and use reverse psychology. Start being obnoxiously bothersome and get in her face every moment you can to tell her how much you love her.

Dude I have been watching girls do stuff like that to guys. Let me tell you it sure is fun to watch! All you have to do is tell her how you really feel about her liking you so much! I no that it might hurt her feelings, but it probably won't stop her from liking you! She might stop giving you all these gifts and lies. Isn't that all you want?!

dont shower for a week so you smell really bad and work out a lot so you sweat. Then she wont like you anymore. Get a lie detector and make her speak in front of it and then you will know if she is lying.

First of all, don't worry about people laughing. There's nothing in this that reflects badly on you. Just try to make it so they laugh with you, not at you.

Second, be calmly polite to her.

Third, ask your good look female friends if they'll please take turns appearing to "like" you. You could turn this to your advantage. ;)

it would be mean to be embarrased. she seems nice.. but just be nice and honest and tell her... you do know we're just friends right? if you like me.. i'm flattered but you're not my type and I hope there's no hard feelings because you seem really nice.... and tell her if she ever wants someone to talk to.. she can talk to you... she might be a lil hurt if she does like you and step off a bit..
