Yes, it does fill me with shame and anger. I am ashamed that my country illegally and preemptively attacked a country who had done nothing to the US against the wishes of the rest of the world.
I am ashamed that thousands of innocent Iraqis have been murdered by my country. I am angry that Bush lied us into this war. I am angry that over 3000 of our young men and women died in this fiasco.
I am ashamed and angry that my tax money and our military is deployed to Iraq to kill and control a people so the US president can enrich himself and his campaign contributors.

Removing Saddam from office was long overdue and the right thing to do.
The complete bungling of the administration in Iraq past that point, now THAT fills me with shame and more than a little anger.
And I cannot dispute that Iraq would be better off if we had done nothing the way things are turning out. Not even the Shrub uses that line any more.
But the implied question you are asking is should we have done nothing, an that I would have to disagree with.

The war, yes, it's shameful. Even worse, what's happening at home in our country. The engine that used to run America has been dismantled. Manufacturing is all but gone. In the fifties, one in three Americans were union workers. Life was good, America was strong and at peace, and good paying jobs with benefits and a long term future were readily available. All we seem to believe in now is Ben Franklin. Our borders, if the issue wasn't so serious it would be funny. Terrorists? They can walk across the border and nobody seems to care. Illegal aliens are flooding America and effectively lowering our standards to the point Americans are being expected to take sub-standard wages for the work being asked to perform. Our government is corrupted by lobbyists and special interest groups and the people have been forgotten. Our national and trade debts are staggering. I couldn't be more ashamed in my country, us, we have lost something and become less caring. How else can you explain George W. Bush being President for six years?

i think deceive and scammed. After Sept 11 our united states of america grew to become into psychologically vulnerable and the Bush admin. used that vulnerability to make war with a midsection jap united states of america that had no longer something to do with the towers. a million. No weapons of mass destruction 2. No Saddam/Al Qaeda links 3. in no way have we attacked/ or had the ultimate to attack a rustic in trouble-free terms to reason a regime exchange. 4. all the adult men on the planes that hit the towers have been from Saudi Arabia so why did no longer we attack Saudi?? Dugh, via fact we've oil pastime in them, which brings me to my next factor 5. Bush, Cheney, and Condoleeza Rice have been all company human beings interior the oil enterprise interior the previous. i think this finished war is approximately Oil, money, and evil. P.S i'm a veteran that grew to become into over there and believe me, Iraq grew to become into and is not any longer danger to usa, that's a 0.33 international united states of america for crying out loud. basically flow over there you will see what I propose! they provide the effect of being just about primitive militarily. P.S.S all and sundry at right here that feels so darn good approximately helping this war then you definately %. up a gun and you flow combat for uncle sam and relieve the under pressure troops rotating backward and forward there, some are on 4th and 5th excursions already. And in case you're no longer likely to try this ,then close up, your opinion is valueless, via fact definitely all and sundry of their amazing ideas, that has any sense of right and incorrect approximately them deep down and on the floor is conscious that this war is misguided and this administration is evil!

Nope, to rid the world of an evil dictator that murdered thousands upon thousands of his own people is a good thing and people who claim to support freedom and rights for all should see that fact. Failure to do so is really a shame

That's not the word I would use, for what is happening there is so Dark, no matter what side they are on, with death and destruction so filling the air, shame doesn't cover it. I might have to invent a word to describe my feelings, but shame isn't enough.

Bush, chenney and most of the republican party does.
Ive been watchign the CSPAN debate in the house of represetnatives and these republicans are a sad bunch.
Thier arguements are weak and futile as their plot wont work. They are trying to turn the tables and show the democrats failure to offer a new resolution, when 52 attempts were turned down by the republicans up till now.
Democrats wont take the bait, and republicans are going to have to answer for their actions . 6 years of inaction.
It was funny to watch the majority leader come from his office and chastize all the republicans for their false arguements, and statements of democrats not supporting the troops.
He really bit into all their a**es, to the point where the old republican majority leader conceeded.
It was funny!
I hope they show it on the news for all to see

anything a suit is not held accountable for fills me with shame. How absurd for us to believe a person who can send another human being to war deserves any respect.

Yes, it does. And it's horrible. I used to be so proud of my nationality. Now I'm just embarrassed. For the rest of my life, no matter where I go in the world, people will always wonder if I was one of those moron who supported Bush and his war crimes. While this might not concern most Americans (cause they never go anywhere), I travel abroad fairly routinely.
How many Germans could travel freely abroad after WWII without the same kind of crap?
