Hold down the power button for 10 seconds until it completely shuts down. Then turn it back on.

Keep the power cord out of the computer for at least 10 minutes,if that fails open the case and look at the power supply and look at the cables and follow them to the motherboard and check to see if ther seated right. You could even disconnect each and reconnect them to the motherboard.

sure and No searching on what you opt for? even as in hibernation the computer continues to be lively and the processor continues to be in use notwithstanding the HD computer screen etc etc shutdown. So sure the existence of the processor will age speedier yet maximum chips are equipped for a 5 twelve months existence span of being on 24/7 so in all honesty its no huge deal. issues to contemplate, it is going to use electricity in hibernation mode do you pay for it ;) make efficient the room has a hearth alarm! purely incase.

Try holding it for few seconds ( vary the time) if not try other methods of starting like alt+crtl+del . If its laptop then remove the battery and boot the computer.
