Names, names, names... What's in a name? Names can have meanings both blatant and hidden. Certain names can conjure up all sorts of emotions and visions. Say the name "Hitler" to an old jewish person, and you may very well see their face grow cold with fear and anger and maybe even distant. "David" to a Christian and they're likely to respond with an outburst of "The King!" Elvis, to a woman in her forties, fifities or sixties and she may very well get all giddy like a school girl.
A name... To an old muscle car buff, "Mustang" will bring on the contested stand of "which was better, the Mustang or the Nova?" To which I say, the Dodge Duster, and a "Mustang" is one of the greatest airplanes to ever grace the skies -- P-51D of course!
But what IS in a name? How'd you like to be a girl and be tagged with an old fashioned name like Gertrude? Or, a guy and get named Marion? Which, by the way, was John Wayne's real first name. But who was John Wayne?
Name calling has been known to start fights both big and small. Choosing a name for a baby can be an arduous, loving process. When you go shopping for clothes, it's all in the name.
Back in my younger years, the men all called me "Doc." I was never REALLY a doctor, nor was I a pier. I had very few who were my peer, but my name was Doc. To this day, that title still stands with quite a few. It's not a name given lightly, it's one that MUST be EARNED. Some names are paid for with Blood, Sweat and Tears. And they, by the way, were truly a great band of their day. And so was Three Dog Night, which is also how you measure how cold it is in Alaska -- by the number of dogs you have sleeping with you. Yes, it's all in the name.

I think the "point" is that it excludes neither evolution nor the concept that there was a higher power involved in the creation of humans. They're basically saying that since so many people complain that evolution is an atheist ideal, they'll throw some stuff about God in there in a watered-down attempt to make creationists happy. Personally, I've never found religion and science to be mutually exclusive anyway, but a lot of people seem to.

A name identifies who you are. Most names have a root in ancient times or from the Bible. If you look in a book of names for babies, there is a derivative for each name. Donna is derived from Madonna.
Some names sound very serious while others are more frivolous.

A name can inspire or incite hatred, be descriptive, or be damning.
Consider the names:
Inspire: Jesus, Abraham, Lincoln, Reagan, Roosevelt
Hatred: (dependent on culture): Pope, Mohammed, Rubenstein
Descriptive: Carpenter, Smith
Damning: Stalin, Hitler (how many of those in your phone book?).

A name is just a title. You can use it or choose not to. But, don't call me anthing else. I have a name my parents thought hard about giving me. A lot of names have no meaning but, there is a reason to have it. Every body should have a name,it does not have to be popular name. You are who you are and your name is your title.

Intelligence has absolutely nothing to do with public speaking.
"What's in a name?" is a quote from Bill Shakespeare.
Think "Roses".

Say that it is not diction that adds character to a being, so in turn there is very little held in a name.
