Don't be surprised to see him with the Bears.

It would appear that Broncos would like to get rid of Plummer, but who will back up Cutler. They need a vetran on the rooster and the question is will it be Plummer or someone else.
Trading him to Houston, considering his ties with Gary Kubiak is a possibility. Seriously, he is 32 years old. What could they get from a trade? I would say not much, but trading or releasing Plummer has a big impact on the salary cap for the Broncos.
According to the Rocky Mountain News:
The Broncos would be willing to trade QB Jake Plummer for the right offer. The Broncos are unlikely to release Plummer because of his contract, which has three years remaining. If the team cut Plummer before June 1, it would take a salary-cap hit of $8,556,000 for the 2007 season. If the Broncos cut Plummer after June 1, the cap hit would be over two years - $2,852,000 in 2007 and $5,704,000 in 2008. The Broncos would take the full salary-cap hit of $8,556,000 if they trade Plummer, but anything they receive in return - most likely a draft pick - has to be worth more to the team than the cap savings it would get this year with a June 1 release.

well according to sportscenter...they say that Jake Plummer might go to the Texans and replace David Carr...idk but that maybe a possibility...cuz the Raiders are probably gonna take Russell and Quinn is prob gonna go to Miami and no other top quarterback position is in need right now and of course the teams in need are gonna pick something fresh and new....not left over pizza (plummer) or 2 wk old wings (carr) so Plummer has a good chance of going to Houston....since they are not going to waste their draft pick on some QB if the place in most need is the O-Line!

A guess... Texas needs some change at QB & might be looking to draft a QB which puts Carr on the Sit or Trade block. Plummer would be a good mentor for a rookie QB or put the fire back in Carr

I think cornfed has the right idea with Texas. That team needs a veteran presence in the QB position. Carr isn't getting it done and Plummer will be out of Denver, so he seems to fit well in Texas to me. I don't think he'll go to the Raiders because they don't have much to offer in return and they are going to be looking for a younger, long term quaterback solution.

I see him showing up in Texas. They'll probably address the o-line, but one draft is not going to fix all the problems so a mobile QB will be better. They have a decent system and have some decent players, but they need a QB badly and jake needs a job.

I think they'll offer him a contract to stay on as the backup QB. Whether he'll take or explore the free agent waters we'll have to see. I think there will be some teams interested in him but at how much will they offer?

They will probably bench him for another year incase Cutler get's hurt. I think that there are quite a few teams out there that would be interested in him though. Either Miami or Oakland would be really interested in him, but I think he'd make a great fit in Chicago!

He should go to Oakland. He is still a good enough player and they would finally have a decent QB since 2002.

They'll probably trade him...Maybe to the Raiders...Although they have the first pick...and it will probably be JaMarcus Russell...Someone who needs a QB...Although all those teams seem to have high draft picks...The Dolphins are going to have to figure out a long term QB...
