No, I don't think I am. What is British? I certainly don't like the way Britain has been taken into conflicts all over the world. I AM proud of our soldiers, but I want them all home.
All the rest of my relatives inc parents are Irish and we were brought up in a very Irish culture...I AM proud to be strongly associated with Ireland.
What a sorry state this country is in.

i'm not british but i think every1 should be proud of their own country regardless of wat is happening in ur country, u should be loyal like sticking up for ur fav baseball team or fav artist, musician, and idol
I totally disagree about Britiain being the worst country for kids, 1st of all there are countries rit now like in Africa dat can't even raise children cuz they hav no food or clothes i mean at least Britiain has a chance to let the kids live through childhood
2nd i don't c wat's wrong w/ Britain anyway, the children r sent to school, hav food and clothes and the majority r alive so....wat's wrong w/ Britain
3rd Britain isn't in war or anything like the US and doesn't hav a president as stupid as Bush (who has no idea wat we can gain from a war besides let Americans lose their lives and has no strategy)
sorry about the last part it was kinda irrelevant by the way
r u british?

i think we should be because that is a load of crap. how is britain a bad country to live and grow up in? we have the nhs which flak or not it still works pretty well plenty of housing, good public transport system etc.
i think the problem is the kids are spoilt. i watched a bit of a documentary the other night and the kids in the city (i couldnt gear which city it was i was in the pub) were living in the sewers with the rats, sniffing glue to keep warm.
that is true hardship.

The reason our youth are so up the spout is lack of discipline, bring that back and you'd soon see a difference. As for your question. I am standing (well, sitting) here (in the sitting room), declaring (quietly as my sister is visiting and she's watching Stargate whilst waiting for her daughter to phone) that I am proud to (and I wish she'd hurry up) be British and all (my niece, I mean, it's going on for one) that stands for.

i'm british and am non commital. Hate all of that national pride, alot of the british still think that we are the greatest on earth, but we are not what we used to be; We have lost most manaufacturing, the world cup, our empire and moan about more committed and hard working people "coming in and knicking our jobs".
However the bulldog nation will still continue!
