What does pooting mean? People often ask me if I am pooting. I don't know what they are talking about, and I don't want to sound ignorant and ask them.

farting is what i most hear it used as. but it's usually "he pooted" not "r u pooting"

Is a short nosed dog? I have a Boston terrier that does that all the time. Reason: short nose causes the air to be sucked in while, for example, eating. The air builds in the stomach and is released out the other end. Otherwise, lack of pottying can cause gas (if that is what you mean by "pooting"). Just like a human that holds it for a long time, gas eventually builds and thus needs to be released. Also, is he on meds at all? Sometimes that will cause it or even a change in diet causes it. Talk to your vet if you find it a concern or want to get him to "stop" what is natural in his situation. I'm sure you "poot" too sometimes, it can't be that gross.

Farting if you live in the United States. If you are British or Australian, it may have a completely different meaning. For example, asking if you can have a fag in Britian is completely different from asking for a fag in the U.S. LOL f-a-g Stupid Yahoo censoring!

When ever i hear that word or have used it myself it is usually in reference to passing gas.
