Romney, a Mormon, and Obama, a former disciple of Islam, are running for US president. Personally, if those are the choices, I cannot vote for anyone with a radical Islamic backround(studied in a madras in Indonesia in his youth) to run our country in a war against radical Islam, IMO. I look forward to your comments and responses.

I think you paint an incorrect picture of Obama, at least from the research I have done. However, I think there is still more trash talking out there about Romney being Mormon. Either way, it shouldn't matter. Someone can be whatever religion they want and I will respect them the same, as long as that religion doesn't cause harm to innocent people, etc. If their religion is only reflected in their morals and lifestyle, it shouldn't change your vote. Mormons are both democrats and republicans and are told to act according to their own knowledge and values. Let's hope people aren't so ignorant to base a vote on someone's sex, race or religion.

One compelling reason Joseph Smith Jr did no longer win his marketing campaign for US President is that he grew to become into murdered in the previous the election! no longer even i'd vote for the deceased to steer this united states of america. The LdS Church is a tax-exempt non-earnings enterprise, ergo can't legally sell nor demote any candidate. each ellection 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, the 1st Presidency sends out a letter encouraging all contributors to take part and vote in accordance with very own ethical convictions. Thirdly, i do no longer think of a candidate's faith is reason adequate to vote for them. We would desire to look at previous paintings journey (Mayor, Governor, Senator, or different public place of work?) and platform. i in my view voted against a woman in an area election via fact her finished platform grew to become into that she grew to become into Mormon (she could no longer answer trouble-free questions approximately watr rights or H-3). As Mitt Romney's camp is prepared on announcing, we are vote casting for a Commander in chief, no longer a Theologian in chief.

I'm inclined to assume that both are at least marginally sincere in their current faiths (Obama is a member of the Church of Christ), don't know much about Romney.

The scariest of all, though, is definitely Hillary. My conspiracy theory leanings hint toward a strong possibility that the Clinton and Bush families are in close cahoots to prove that the U.S. is gullible enough vote bush clinton bush clinton bush clinton bush forever and ever amen.

And the recent rumors that "travel-gate" and "file-gate" were done to secure some information and hide other information that paved the way to 9-11 is unnerving as heck. Hillary, with no former ties to the N.Y.was voted right in as a senator and, shortly after, well...

Fortunately, I, like most people, maintain objective realism and reject the likelihood that such theories are true. It all just seems so coincidental.

That's my 2 cents worth.

I suppose it is hopeless to ask you to demonstrate in what sense Obama is Islamic? Or even a former disciple of Islam? Has he said or done a single thing to indicate anything but rejection of militant Islamics? No. But the smear is there.

People realize they can't come right out and say they would never vote for a black candidate, so they coat it with a supposedly acceptable veneer of calling him a Muslim. But a lot of us know how to read the code.

You are really asking, "Would you rather have a moderately conservative Republican or a moderately liberal Democrat for President?" How about dealing with real issues instead of garbage for a change?

History has shown that Mormons are more a threat to each other than the outside community so I would vote for the Mormon. I'm not thrilled with the position of women in either community but some Muslims think women are like goats or other cattle so there you go . . .
