what is the life span of a sperm when kept in open air?

The sperm would just dry up in a very short time frame. It would weaken very quickly and start dying off right away. It would depend on environmental conditions such as the item it is on, dryness of air, absorbency, etc.... But basically as long as it is wet it would have some potency and dry, none...

So on cloth no time, in a container depends on container,amount, etc..
