Try an anti prespirant (spray is better) instead or a deo.

Solids, or liquid roll ons, I think, after years of trial and error. Gels have always seemed to stay wet too long, sticky and messy. Solids or roll ons dry faster.
Actually no deodorant stops sweat, you need to watch for a deodorant/antiperspirant. There are a lot of just plain deodorants out there, you have to check the label. Look for the strongest ingredients if you sweat a lot Iike I do. Strongest and best in my experience is Right Guard Sport or Mitchum or Arm & Hammer. Most solids will cause white stains on your shirts, Arm & Hammer roll on seems to do this less but still works as well.

If you are having problems with excessive sweat, try Mitchum deodorant. I use the version for women, and it works wonders.

Deodorants do not stop sweat; they DE-odor-ize you.
Anti-perspirants stop sweat.
Avoid anything with aluminum chlorylhydrate in is as this causes Alzheimer's Disease.
