do not go onto talktalk. i have nothing but problems with them, they may be cheap but they dont provide the service. the internet cuts off all the time and it takes ages to connect back onto it and its slow. if you contact them with any problems they say they'll get back to you but they don't so you keep phoning and get passed from pillar to post. no straight answers from anyone. appaling service, appaling customer service and appaling technical advisors.

don't do it
when you are up and running they are OK but its a joke to set up i have a mate who joined in July still not connected i spent over 6 hours on the phone to them trying 2 get connected and they were useless then i found out by my self that the fault was there modem and i had to borrow one then buy a new one as they will not replace mine had a load of other problem and wish i had never joined and want out as soon as the contract is up and i am having problems not receiving mail they have also featured on watch dog

if its just because of your emails set up an email address with yahoo or hotmail or something

plus if you have a cable line not sure you can join talk talk as its not a bt line but not 100% sure about that

Do not go with them! I signed up in July for broadband and was told I would get it at the start of September. Still waiting. Took money out my bank account and didn't provide anything at all. Very bad customer service. Better go with BT.

Rubbish, Unable to get threw when you have a problem, we signed up-Via British Gas, Get first month FREE, All well being good for 1st day, but MATE--We lost Internet,Sky And could only Phone 081-Or )123 Numbers, when we tried to get contact with them, I held On For Over 2 Hours-and then I gave up, Changed my Tel phone Number with British telecoms, saying I had problem phone calls, -have since received letters, and have sent back saying moved....house now for rent....which is happening,,,So DONT GO WITH TALK< TALK A NO GO_NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS-----------------BIG TIME AND WE MEAN BIG TIME

We have it, £21.50 a month all in. free broadband (no slower than bt). free landline calls and caller ID. No problems at all.
I do wish the call centre was in the UK rather than Asia, but I could not afford to pay BT £60+ a month. BT were excellent though.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ..... DON'T!!!!

I say this because I am one of numerous people who had a terrible ordeal with talk talk. I can't even begin to tell you the problems...Weeks and weeks with no land line, broadband came on for two days then went off for weeks!!!

Check out BBC Watchdog site...they've had more complaints about talk talk than anything else ever.

The thing is they brought in a new deal which does look good. Now so many people want it, they are promising it but cannot deliver....when I eventually got through to the Manager...and that took some doing...he admitted he couldn't tell me when I would get a service!! I am now back with good old BT..thank goodness!

The thing is they do not have any infrastructure...they totally rely on BT... they contract them out to do stuff for them and make promises they cannot keep.

You have been warned!!

Best wishes.

I am with cable and have an email address with NTL through my set top box but it isn't used for much. My main one is with Yahoo and has much storage space. Why not do that. I pay £8.50 per month broadband and that is hard to beat.

no do not go with them. they are unbelievably crap. we never recd our Internet connections waiting for months claimed they sent it out 3 times don't think so. they are also really bad to get in contact with keep you holding for ages or hang up on you or unavailable - which lasts all day.
