With reality TV, you don't have to hire many writers because there really isn't a script, maybe one or two to set the general theme. You don't have to hire actors because you just have "contestants" and you don't even need to pay them all just the winner. Sets are easy because you just use the same house or island. And you dont' even need as much camera equipment to film. Probably the only hard part in the whole deal is the editing.

i absolutely agree. sure, a little bit of reality tv is exciting, but can we even really call it that? honestly, with tvs hanging around and with the knowledge of being on national television, there's no way this people are being 100% real. and after awhile, all reality shows are just about people purposely causing drama and getting drunk (real world, the hills, etc) we need to bring back the good SCRIPTED shows

I don't like them personally but I would bank on popularity rather than production laziness... It seems to be what people tune in to...

a little reality t.v. never hurt anyone....but i think it's getting over rated...half of it isn't even real anymore anyhow.
