Literally only the US comes to mind when I think of vast quanities of obese people...the MIDWEST especially.

USA, the most fattest people. in other countries i whent, they do eat, but most american restrants serve twice as much, and often fatty foods. this does not mean that all americans are fat, but there are many thats over weight, and i have personally seen ones needed help to stand up, and can not walk, not because they cant walk, but it will break their bones.

yes, there are tribes in africa and countries that favor fat people, because it represent wealth, but in most of the countries that i know goes by european standards now days and believes in thin body is ideal.

the primary reason why americans got over weight is because of their history. in early colony time of america, they brought european style of farming technics, and they were not suitable in american soil, so they starved, but managed to survibe because of the native american help ( famous thanks giving day story!!), which they all got killed from disease form settlers, or was sent to oklahoma or simply killed,(i know it is bad but did happen). these sufferage of farming improoved by time, and when they got food they just ate alot so it wouldnt happen again, and that became common thing. if you were going to work hard to make farm you want to eat alot to keep goting, so they ate, and this custom stick to the county.
