If it's the newer 2nd generation model It should simply be a matter of plugging in to it's little docking station and plugging that into your usb port. The orange LED should glow steady to show it's charging.

plug one end of the usb cord into your computer and the other end into the shuffle and leave it for 5-6 hours or until you need it

You plug it into the computer and it charges on it's own;, or you buy a seperate charger from the store and plug it into the wall.

It charges when you plug it into your computer using the USB port.

Either using the transfer cord and leaving it connected to your running computer, buying a wall AC adapter, or buying a car adapter. (The wall adapter is $30 and worth it if you hate leaving your computer running for over 4 hours)
