Look for yourself and the real type of love will materialize when you're not even thinking about it.
Seriously, the more confident and happy you are about just being yourself and what you're doing in life, the more attractive you become and the easier it is to date around and see what works best.

If you're a man you should look for your own love; sure women will come along, and you'll get caught up and may even find love, but it'll never be the same as going out and getting love on your own that you're sure you want.
If you're a woman you should let love find you; when a man that really wants you comes along and is serious about being with you, the relationship will actually work. If it's your idea that relationship is only going to last for so long, though it is possible that someone will eventually step up to the plate, though unlikely.
The answer really depends a lot on those two things and exactly why you're looking for love to begin with. If you're deficient, and are unsure of yourself or not quite ready to give the love you're looking to receive you should leave it alone, man, woman or child.

if you look too hard for love, you will find it when it doesn't actually exist. That is, you will be making the shoe fit. It will not be real or genuine. Doesn't mean that you couldn't hook up with the right person, just don't force the issue. Real love happens when you are least expecting it. So just go have fun. Do what you enjoy. Be yourself. Don't hide from the world. Don't try to change someone, or expect them to change you. You both will adapt on your own in the right situation. It takes two to tango, someone to lead, someone to follow, But two to share the dance. Love finds you.
One more thing, eyes lead to the soul. That is where you usually notice love, you see it in their eyes, and they in yours.

Let love find you!! I was in an abusive relationship with the father of my kids and an even more abusive relationship with the man I ended up marrying. I married just because i liked the idea of being married. I thought "Wow, this man loves me because he wants to marry me" and I liked the idea of calling the man "my husband". He didn't marry me because he loved me, he married me because he wanted to control me. After that I gave up and stopped looking for love. I didn't want to love because all it brought was pain. Then I met my fiancee, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I didn't plan or even try to meet him. A friend of ours just happened to put him on the phone one day and we started talking. We talked all day every day and became friends. We were friends for almost a year and he moved out here to be with me. We are now engaged. I don't feel that anyone has to search for true love because it will find you and if it is meant to be, nothing can stop it.

Certainly search for your love! The more number of people you meet better the chance of the falling in love day to come closer.Sometimes we even feel 'wish we met earlier and we could have spent more time with each other'. So just go out and start looking..maybe she is at your door! Good luck.

Don't focus on it so much. Relationships are important, but not necessary for happiness. Just live your life. Don't go out hunting, because you probably won't find anything. At the same time, don't just put your head down and hope somebody else finds you.
Look for a combonation of the two.

You should let love find you dont try and rush love because it cant be rushed. My advise would be to just live your life and let love find you im sure your a great person and im sure a greatr person will find you soon enough

A little bit of both, dont force it on yourself... but also dont sit in your house waiting for your true love to come waltzing i nthe door to sweep you off your feet:P get out, talk to people, you never know
