As an Englishman It makes you laugh, no matter who we play, the whole world gets behind our opponents whether it be a Celtic connection or an Antipodean connect we seem to be the team you all love to hate, carry on, we only draw strength and determination from your pitiful bias. England, for a whole host of reasons, injuries, retirement, poor selection, crap management, have had a bad time of things since 2003, we admit that, but there's a turn in the wind, I wasn't a supporter of Brain Ashton's appointment, personally would have gone for Dean Richards, but he's making some bold moves which so far are paying off and hint at long term-ism rather than knee jerk, we may not win this tournament, but watch out 'cause we are on are way back.

It'll be tough. England sucks and Ireland is injured. At the end of the day though, I think Ireland's forward pack will do it's part and secure a victory. The english backline has no flair, even with wilko back. And England is pitiful in the loose forward department, something that Ireland is getting much better at. Admittedly, BOD and O'Gara being injured won't help the Irish odds, my money is still on them.

Ireland are the safe bet.
But for value for money, bet England.
England probably won't win, but I personally think Ireland will be trying way too hard for this one, and they are wounded. Just remains to be seen whether England have enough maturity left to let Ireland beat themselves to death, or whether they will turn tail and run from a headless Irish onslaught.
This is the test of Ireland, can they bounce back with measured anger and skill, or has the dream evaporated.
The answer may not be as important for the 6N as it will be for Ireland's WC. I think they don't have what it takes, but now would be the time to prove me wrong.

I think ireland will win,im sorry to say
but lets get this ole bollocks out of the way about jw yes he kicks a good game just like patterson/o gara/jones but how comes when they win by a kicking game its no big deal!!!!
i get really pissed of by the usual **** thats gets pumped around the net about jonny wilko. He is a truly gifted player and its funny how all the other nations players dont slag him off like the twats on here.He is the new six nations record holder so this surley proves how capable he is.
For all you biast scots that quote this abou boring jw cris patterson kicked 7 goals and only managed to win because of this.So before you start to slag england off think about how you win games first and this also goes for the welsh. The only teams about that are playing ok are ireland and france.
England might make a boring game (your words) but one thing is for sure is that they are the world champions.fact, and ok we will lose this next time round but al least we won it!!!

Ireland, England only play the kicking game now that wilko is back, Ireland will win for sure!
England have very little defence to this strong (cheating) team!

I think Ireland will shade it. They will have a point to make especially after last weeks result against the french. England will need to improve a lot from the Italy game.

England by 20 points. Ireland are good, but not good enough! I could go into all the technical reasons why, however - suffice to say it will be our day. Sorry Ireland.
