I'd recommend that you establish yourself in Salou with some cheap accommodation booked online and use that time to find a good place, locally, when you are able to view it.

So many times i hear of folks getting locked into a place they don't like for long term ... so it's best to avoid it.

My suggestion is to grab a couple of weeks at an apartment hotel which may cost you only 20 euros each per night ( 38-42 euros per apartment per night ) , get settled , have fun and save money in the long run at a place you'll enjoy.
