I am 16 years old and I want my lip pierced. And for some incredible reason my mom agreed to it. But now I am not entirely sure if I should get my left side done or my right side done. I heard that the left side is less painful, but the reason I feel in love with lip piercing was because of this J-rocker who has his done on the right side. I also don't know if there is some sort of social stigmatism connected with lip rings. I know that sounds weird, but remember when if a guy had his left (?) ear pierced, everyone thought he was gay. I just want to get some opinions before I go “under the needle”. Thanks!!!!

i usually dont mind body piercings. i have had piercings in the past, and i have tattoos, but i hate lip piercings. i think they look stupid and that the person is just trying to hard to look cool. please dont do it at all.

Please reconsider what your doing. Think when you are 50 or 60 years old. You will have this thing hanging off your lip. How gross would a 60 year old wrinkled up old woman look with a piece of metal hanging out of her lip? Not very attractive. Just because everyone else is doing it doesnt mean you have to. If everyone jumped off a bridge would you??

i would wait until your older. but if you want to get it pierced now, go with what you feel more comfortable with. i never heard anything about the left side being less painful. go with what your gut tells you! good luck

I would pierce the side you have the most cavities on. Makes it easier to eat.

u shouldnt pierce ur lip cause it looks really creepy. there's this creepy lesbo goth girl at my school and she has 2 lip rings and she freaks me out! u'll just look creepy if you get ur lip pierced.

if i were u i wouldnt peirce it all. it's bad 4 your heth it has been proven that peircing yer tongue or lip it causes cancer
