i'm not sure if it's jor-el but its that guy who was with clark in the mental institution and helped him find out that his mind was being controlled by some1 from trhe phantom zone

martian manhunter, he helped clark kill a phantom that was controling his mind a couple episodes back.

That is Martian Manhunter. He is the last of his kind. He knows of Kal-El And his origins. He is the one who phased his hand thorugh the "phantom" who was going to kill Clark and loves Oreos. Using his Telepathy he went into Clarks mind and helped him out. Thats why they kept beating him up. He has a fear for fire so when they lit the lighter he was scared.
The reason i put phantom in parathesis is becuase you people say he killed that guy in Seattle. Keep in mind this part.
Clark:You escaped form the Phantom Zone!
Aldar:But I ain't no phantom!

He is the Martian Manhunter a.k.a. Jaque Jones...He kills one phantom zoner and helps clark with his telepathy powers in the episode Labyrinth
