It can be recorded, if that is what you mean.
Once you are on the cam, you can be put on the web again by anyone if they have malicious intent.

To verify, full screen your cam by inviting yourself to view your own cam, then hit the print screen key. Some keyboards may have 2 listed, one as print screen and the other as prntscrn.

Hit both, if you wish, with the cam full screen, then go to start and run. Type mspaint and enter. Then hit ctrl + v to paste it.

There are automatic screen recorders as well.

If you are asking can you get on them and converse on them without being recorded, no you can't. There is also the simpler way of someone setting up a real vid cam to record your webcam.

Hope this answers your quest.

Be safe, and if you are doing things you don't want to be seen spread around the web, just stop doing them.

Otherwise, if you don't mind, go ahead.

I know a guy who sells a hack that lets him see what your webcam is seeing. Even if it is a private conversation. I wouldn't worry but don't take anything off!

That would all depend how you use it and where your computer it located. So if you turn off the webcam when your not using it, then you should be okay.

Depends on where you plan on putting them.
Fairly safe. I wouldn't expect one to jump off the desk and poke you in the eye.

Fairly safe, but it all deals on how you use it.
