Cards and stuff like that are all from somewhere else, sure they might say what you feel but the fact that you are together should count for something. You cooked together and that should count for something. And for pete's sake if the game is in overtime, it can't be long before it's over...then when you get to your place, take a hot bath and the get him to GIVE you a massage all while drinking some of your chilled moet.
Have a happy day...no matter what day it is!

Sounds something like my typical New Year's Eve. Generally, football is then followed by a nap.

You deserve better than this. If your guy can't respect the fact that Valentine's Day means something to you, then he will continue to disappoint you in so many other ways (trust me, I know of what I speak). It doesn't matter if he thinks Valentine's Day is a "Hallmark holiday". What should matter to him is that the day matters to you.

Consider this behavior as a warning. I should have recognized the signs, and now I'm with someone who continually disappoints me on every holiday or occasion.

My boyfriend will usually just record the games to watch later--however in your case I think you'd rather spend the time with your boyfriend later tonight then during the afternoon if you know what I mean *wink*

as for the card--just ask him why he didn't get you one, there's still the rest of the day, maybe he's got something up his sleeve.

hmmm. I am a fan of footy, but I dont think I would do this on Valentines night. its as bit mean....ask him if you think your card might arrive in tomorrows post ...it maybe that he just doesnt believe in all the hype of VD. Give him the benefit of the doubt to begin with, then chuck him if u dont like what he says !

Trun off the tv, and ask him what's going on? And why didn't get you anything? You need to have a talk with him, and tell him how you feel ,if he doesn't understand, then you should dump him.
