The infected file must be open at the time you try to delete, quarantine, or modify it. You must close the file first. Control+Alt+Del and see if you can find the file in running processes. You can kill that process and then try to quarantine the file. If you still can't get rid of it try this: While your pc is booting up (at the end of your bios screen) press the F8 key to access the advnaced boot menu for Windows. Key up or down to select Safe Mode. Try booting to safe mode and run your virus software again. Safe mode only loads basic needed programs at startup. The virus may not load, thus it will not be opened.

Run it again, but this time tick on the option to delete the virus when the computer finds it. I think you may have missed out that bit when doing the first scan.

did your antivirus prog. give the name of the virus. I guess it may have. If so look up the virus on the net. Plenty of fixes there. eg

Really more info is needed, otherwise, everybody is just guessing. What Virus checker are you using.

buy a new anty virus? but in truth as soon as i see a new virus i do a total relode of my computer because its the heart of a network. so to completly protect reinstal windows or wait it out and try to dellet it or just end the prosees in the background.
