Naptha is a common ingredient in fuel system cleaners, so it's possible that if you toss in a few old fashioned naptha mothballs and have deposits in the fuel system it may fix things. But other than that, it's not very useful at all. And some of the newer moth ball formulations or cedar moth balls really don't belong in the gas tank.

well, for the brief few minutes that the mothballs interact with the fuel and begin to work, youd think you was running jet fuel in the tank. but in short order, the intake cant take the heat from the resulting mix which is burning off hotter. before too long, your engine has a nuclear meltdown and then your engine will have no performance at all

A small quantity would be nice, notwithstanding you will come upon massive problems with too plenty in case you do no longer re-music the engine and it ought to bring about detonation of your engine. Tuned wisely nevertheless I even have viewed some very superb autos engaged on methanol and nitro-methanol.

Sopposedly it increases the horsepower and performance of the engine. But a lot of people have ruined their engines (blown up their engines) by putting mothballs in their gas tanks.

this is a leftover "speed secret" from the 1930's , refining technology was crude enough well into the 50's for the mothballs to have an octane raising effect , all it will do is jam your fuel pump and filter and possibly injectors, not worth it.

It will keep your engine moth free...had a Briggs & Straton with a terrible moth problem, it was the cure.....the engine ran like a jet for 5 minutes then blew up.....catching fire..the fire killed every single damn bug, better then bug spray or sticky tape.....cheap too.
