Have some clothing items that I will never wear again... prom dresses, almost new jeans, shirts, shoes, etc. Where do you think I would get the most money for that kind of stuff? Any other ideas for selling?

We need to make some cash for our wedding this July since we're paying for it ourselves... and I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff that I won't ever use again and that is taking up space in my house.

Thanks in advance! :)

Consignment shops generally take a minimum of a million/3 of the advertising fee, so with all issues being equivalent, you will could do the mathematics. If the stuff you have has a lot of allure, you've got sturdy success on eBay. i'd definitely prepare the garments on a individual and many closeups. i purchase clothing on eBay and locate some very alluring deals. whilst employing eBay, you may evaluate the fees and the transport fee.

Ebay would get you access to infinitely more potential buyers than a small consignment shop in Nashville, so in theory, you should get a better price. And more importantly, you're more likely to find buyers for more of your items. In the end, Ebay would likely be your best bet.

I've had great luck with Ebay - get an EBay for Dummies book and go for it. You'll be surprised how much people are willing to pay for stuff that you'd only get a few bucks for at a consignment shop.

Good luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

It depends on the actual value of the clothes. If they are hard-to-get vintage or name brand clothing you might benefit from selling on ebay. A lot of people put together 'lots' of similar clothing items to simplify selling a lot of clothes at once. If you've just got misc clothing, nothing special, I would just take it to consignment.
