Suddenly my heat doesn't work and it's very cold these days. Temperature gauge is all the way down, does not budge, even on long drives. Only cold air from vents with blower on. Thermostat replaced a month ago and heat was fine. Radiator hoses warm, not hot. I'm guessing thermostat stuck open but wouldn't temp gauge show at least 1/4 from L ? My best guess is air in coolant system. Anyone know?

well its probably stuck open, if it was a problem with the heater core, the engine would still get hot. The cold weather will of course help keep the engine cool so thats probably why the guage hasnt moved.
