I am confused on my Tax! Iv'e worked in Las vegas for a year and recently I also worked in New Mexico for two weeks. I grossed to about 173.00. I always filed in Nevada. Do I file in both States?

I am in New Mexico and do H&R Block part time....and sad to say but yes you do have to file for NM. You will get all of your taxes back from the state, but if you do not file, they do start looking for you through the IRS to get you to file.

I also work for H&R Block part time, in Nevada. Nevada doesnt HAVE a state income tax, so you just need to file Federal (which is the one you have been doing) and New Mexico. However, if you do not meet New Mexico's filing requirement (it is based on the income you made) then you do not need to file there unless you paid some tax and want to get it back
