Has anyone else noticed that its socially acceptable for minorities to be racist? I've been called 'whitey', 'cracker', and all sorts of racist names, I've walked into resturants and been refused service because I was white, but if I called someone 'darkie', or refused them service, I'd get lynched. Comedians get up on stage and mock white people, and its perfectly acceptable. Why is 'black pride' wonderful, but 'white pride' racist? I'm not allowed to be proud of my backround without being racist? Look at things like the black tv channel, the united ***** college fund, black magazines.. those are exluding people of other races soley because they aren't black. Thats racism. Can you imagine if someone tried to start a magazine that was white models and stories about white people only? They'd be killed.
People say its because of history, and the black man being held down. You don't see jews going after germans- and that was genocide, not slavery, and a helluva lot more recent!

stop complaining because regardless of how you feel, people will always have their opinions. everyone should be proud of who they are without putting others down. thats is where it goes wrong. if you love being white, by all means be proud. however too often people get too proud and say offensive things to others because they think they are better.

Racism is wrong towards any race, I agree.
I don't think it's racist to have "white pride" as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I think why people freak out about it, is because they associate white pride with the KKK and the skinheads.
There is only one black channel, and even that isn't really black anymore. Yes there are some black magazines, but that's because most of the "mainstream" magazines are aimed at white society. Think about Vogue magazine etc. on the cover how often do they feature blacks, or any other race for that matter? How many pictures within the magazine itself contain nonwhites, what about the stories etc?
The only reason there are black magazines, schools, etc. is because everything in America that is "mainstream" is made for whites. That's just how it is. So, if other races want to be included they have to make their own things. It would be better if everything included everyone. But, it will never be that way.

It isn't okay for minorities to be racist. When you were refused service, did you do anything about it? Or did you just sit back and complain? As far as comedians go, black people still get mocked by white comedians. It all depends on the delivery and the context of the jokes. (Gary Owens, a white comedian who used to host BET's Comicview, is a perfect example.) What I can't understand is why white people think black tv stations, magazines and scholarships are racist... Do you NOT understand that if white people had not been discriminating against blacks back then, we wouldn't have had to come up with our own stations, magazines and scholarships!!! And you need to do your research because the United ***** College Fund now offers scholarships to people of ALL ethnic backgrounds! (Check out the link below) Therefore, in most cases, it IS because of the history and just because slavery isn't "a helluva lot more recent" doesn't mean it should be forgotten.

I dont think anyone should be racist towards any race, we are all human beings, children of god. The reason blacks have a channel and magazines, is because in the past, blacks were not on TV as much as whites, and weren't written about as much as white. So someone thought that if we had a black magazine and a black channel, black people could get more information on whats happening in their communities, as well as in Hollywood with black actors/actress! Its not to leave anyone out, but to embrace our race, and acknowledge those within our communities that are succeeding and doing good things. The American Music Awards have a 2 hip hop categories, however BET has an entire awards show solely for hip hop...you see, like i said, its not to leave anyone out, but it just embraces the black communities and artist. Its the same as the Country Music Network...its for those people who enjoy Country Music and all that implies...

You are 100% correct. This is a serious topic on many levels. We (white people) are giving away the country as fast as we can. In Texas they are bringing in teachers from Mexico so that the kids who don't speak english very well can feel comfortable. What about the fact that these teachers speak broken english and that white teachers WHO ARE CITIZENS will lose jobs over this. The sympathizer white liberal people make me sick. This all starts in schools with the liberal professors preaching this crap. There is a scary trend in this country where white people are afraid to say anything and do anything.
Have a look at this and see how you feel, this is in California (imagine that) http://www.zombietime.com/bus_19_berkeley/

It is not ok for anyone to be racist. And I realize racism is a two way street. Actually it seems to be an all-way street. Unfortunately only white people seem to have to really watch themselves right now. I would say that is great for white people. I wish the rest of us would be more careful and not allow any hatred into our speech or thoughts- like Ghandi- even though his people were experiencing oppression, he taught them not to hate back.
As far as black tv channels, college funds, etc.... Contrary to what maybe a lot of you think or experience, whites and blacks are generally not on a level playing field here, and I reiterrate the "generally", so I don't see any problem with the black community having things to boost their morale or their chances at an education. It is a real need.

Black people the following easily earn more beneficial on undemanding than White people. in the united kingdom, frequently talking, Blacks also spend longer in practise and get higher GCSE and A-aspect grades than their white opposite numbers. So i imagine the U. S. black inferiority is basically cultural. This even manifests in IQ. united kingdom learn papers supply a black undemanding of decrease 90s, no longer mid-80s.

It's not, but I always return the favor. I don't believe the crap that the liberals are now spouting, that blacks can't be racist because they're not "empowered."

Yes it's very odd...and often ridiculous.
There are celebrations of "black" this or that- clearly highly exclusive and often plain wrong-headed, and even preferential treatment in terms of jobs or university places.
I can see that the lack of Black advancement in western societies is a major problem, but the root of the problem -the low cultural aspirations of Blacks - is not being addressed.
