If you were a Londoner and were targetted day and night by V1s and VIIs and spent days on end in underground shelters...in underground stations and sleeping on escalators...having your food rationed to two ounces of cheese, butter etc. and having your clothes rationed also. Being afraid as to whether you family were going to last the night I think you too would hate them. That war was greed...greed for more land.

Do they? I'm German and I've travelled to England, have lived with a family there for two weeks when I took and English course there, my mother was in England for one semester during her studies, I know other Germans who went to England for some time, I had English pen pals.... and neither have I experienced hatred nor have I heard from others that they have. Actually when I was in England everyone was very nice to me and my mother is totally enthusiastic about her time in England.
If people hate I'd say it's probably because of WW2 in which Germans really gave people reasons to hate them.

I'm English, and don't hate the Germans, but i know that my grandparents did because of the World Wars, and that seems to have filtered down through the generations. Personally, i hate the French for being cowards and not taking on the Germans like the rest did.. but thats only my Opinion (which, i am entitled to have...)

Perhaps that's why we do squabble - like siblings. Seriously though, we've never got on with the Europeans, they've always wanted to pick a fight with us ... never won one yet. We allowed the Romans and Vikings to stay but no-one's managed to invade us since then ... until now. They can't do it by might so now, they're doing it by stealth and more and more of our lives are being controlled by Brussells; they don't think we've noticed but we have and there will be a backlash.

We're calm, tolerant people in these here isles but you don't want to push us too far.

I don't know about English men but I don't hate Germans and have German pagan friends.
I'm afraid a lot of British people have trouble moving on from WWII but generally it is the rather embarrassing dim ones.
