I am 21 and I have a very dear friend of mine that is in her 80's. Does anyone have ideas for activities that I can involve her in? She has a very sharp mind and can still get around on her own. I am unable to see her as much as I would like I work 2 jobs and go to school. But I would love to make one night a week special something for her to look forward to. Please give me any ideas you may have. Thank you sooo much. Happy Valentines Day!!!

I think you two should share dinner together and tell each other stories of your life. I bet she'll love telling you about her youth days. Maybe make something together, a puzzle or paint some ornaments, make a scrap book together, she may even enjoy a bingo night out, or just going out to a restaurant, a play.
Find out her interest...she'll really enjoy your time and interest in her. You are a sweetie for spending time with her.

I think the fact you want to do this is great. She is a lucky woman to have a friend like you. I think anything you do together will make her feel special. If she likes to go out see a movie or go to dinner somewhere special that you dont go to on a normal day. Or rent a movie and watch it together at home.

It's great your being so kind! Try a movie, or maybe going to dinner. Maybe doing something like cards or checkers. Maybe even just sit and talk about her life. Learn some history from someone who's lived it.

Take her shopping. My grandmother never used to go out shopping because she didn't want to go alone...
