On August 6th, 1945 The Enola Gay linked up with two other B52's above Iwo Jima Island on its way to Japan to put an end to it all. 10 days later Japan surrendered.

The Japanese surrendered to the U.S. on August 14, 1945 which is known as V-J Day.
