no, it wasn't a reality show.
i remember there was this strange kid on the show who was having an affair with his teacher.

it might have been on one of the lower channels like fox or the wb or abc or something, but i know thery showed re-runs on vh1 or something a few years ago

Get Real
That was a tv show about teenagers that was on maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Don't remember if there was an affair with a teacher involved though.
ETA...I was thinking Dawson's Creek too, although it was never aired on MTV or VH1 to my knowledge and the characters didn't talk to the camera. The characters in Get Real did. I don't remember much else about that show except that Anne Hathaway from The Devil Wears Prada was one of the main characters. It was about her and her brothers.
ETA2: It was DEFINITELY Get Real. I just found a video from the show on You Tube. I'm not posting the link here in case kids are looking, but in a nutshell one of the brothers does have an affair with a teacher. I LOVED this show!

There was a movie called "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" that kinda sounds like it. There is a student that is having an affair with a treacher, and there is some monologe, but the entire movie isn't like that. Cheers!
