If the fact that I don't WANT to die means I am afraid to die, then yes, I am afraid. As for how it feels, I really think that's going to depend on how you died. Someone who dies in his/her sleep probably has a peaceful transition whereas a person who dies suddenly of violence or in a violent accident, well maybe there's a "struggle" as the soul transitions, along with panic and pain at the moment of death.

Actually i came very near to death a few years ago when taking a calcium pill before going to bed.It was round and i swallowed it the wrong way and it lodged over the opening to my lungs and i could not breath.when i got up to go for help it let a breath of air in.As i walked to my daughter's room i was thinking I'm going to die I was not afraid. All I could think was my family would find me the next morning and I didn't have Insurance to bury me with.HA HA.I was going down and as i bent over at the waist the breath of air expelled the pill in a sort of Heimlich maneuver.I couldn't talk for a while all I could do was cough.

I don't know what it feels like to die obviously since I am alive and yeah I am kind of afraid but it happens when it happens.

No, I'm not. The reason: if we are going to the place we've been told since we were children, why wouldn't I want to go there?

However, I'm not ready to let go of this existence yet.

I would suppose how you feel when you die would depend on the circumstances of the death. You could just go to sleep & not wake up (my personal preference), which would be peaceful.

Anyway, this is one of those "unanswerable" questions that none of us will know until it happens.

I am not afraid of death. I certainly don't go looking for opportunities to die, but the actual event doesn't scare me. I think that passing out of our bodies is a painful moment...even for those who have "gone on peacefully." There must be some membrane which keeps our spirits in our bodies, and we must feel it as we pass through...

Still, that is my hypothosis. One day, I will test it. I will only get one shot, but it will be definitive.
