actually every cd/dvd drive has a little failsafe on it to prevent disks from being stuck inside in the event of a failure. look below the tray, there should be a tiny little hole there straight out a paper clip and stick it through that hole, eventually you will feel it press a switch that will unlock the tray and open it a tiny bit, you can just pull it open the rest of the way you have to push the clip in pretty far but you'll know when it hits the right thing.

this also works on dvd players and computers incidentally.

no, the drive needs power to open. so, alas, if you had the power out or turned off or disconnected, you will not get your disc out, considering you cant open it without power. and next time, to prevent having to plauge us with bad questions, go try it. that generally works.
