I'm working at the Make A Wish Foundation Wish Night this year and need to know just how "formal" I should dress. Any suggestions?

You say you are working? What is it you will be doing? Are you a Host(ess) or are you catering etc. Are you one of the people in charge? Your dress will be dictated by your role at this event . You wouldn't want to be too formal if most of the time you will be in the Kitchen! The Hosts of the event should all be on the same page attire wise as they more than likely will "hang out" together. Also, if you are one of the Hosts ask someone who has done this before.

In any case, enjoy the evening! :)

It may depend on your activities during the night. If you are a presenter or host, you can wear an evening gown. But if your functions require a lot of walking or moving around a lot, it's perfectly find to wear an evening skirt or pant suit.

probably a dress like you would see a formal affair.
something floor length would do. don't get something to flashy simple yet elegant.
remember the type of event. you don't want the dress to take away from this special occassion, but you want people to think you look lovely.
