In the movie Predator 2, what is the signifigence of the gun that the elder predator gave to Harrigan (Danny Glover) at the end of the film.
The date on the gun said 1715 however i didn't get the name or what it was about.
Its been bugging me for a while now... anyone have an idea??

It was an award for defeating the predator,Sorry I didn't get the name on the gun either but the date showed Danny Glover that the predators have been hunting humans for centuries. Remember at the end he told the agent he'll get another chance after there spaceship took off. He meant that they'll be back.

Harrigan (Danny Glover) kills the predator in the ship it came to Earth in. He finds another clan of predators who give him a musket as a "prize" for defeating predator (and also the musket shows that these predators have been hunting on Earth for generations). Harrigan leaves the predator ship before it takes off.

I'm not sure of the significance other than the Predators now considered him a mighty warrior. So they gave him the gun as a trophy to show their respect.
