Why do men try to control a woman after marriage?

2007-02-14 08:48:16 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I have found after 3 marriages that I choose men who are controlling. I had a husband that checked the mileage on my car when I came home from work, dug in the trash for grocery store receipts. Another who taped my phone calls and hid outside of my job and followed me to client's houses (I am a social worker). I have never cheated on any of these men. Gave everything I had to give and have always financially contributed equally to the shared household. My last husband (the phone taper) was jealous of my adult children and tried every way he could to sabotage these relationships. I give UP!!!

It seems cute at first but soon grows old. But if you are merely concerned about some periodic nagging, complaining and frequent questioning, check out a Cybelian marriage. You'll find the control issue light affliction.

Your wife will only do what you allow her to do. Be a man and don't allow it. I hear this all the time from guys. Did your wife cut your nuts off? Just because you get married does not give you or your partner the right to control each other. Grow um back and don't except controlling behavior.

Not all women do. I believe in treating people like you want to be treated. I don't want my husband to control me so I won't try to control him. He is a grown man who can make his own decisions. My only thing is that we play by the same rules. If he wants to stop by the bar and come home late, so can I. If he doesn't want to let me know he is going to be late then I don't have to let him know.

Not all women do that...those that do either have control issues (not directed only at men/significant others) or didn't feel they could find someone who was a good match so settled for someone who would do, and are trying to make him who they want him to be.

As a partner in a marriage, women have the right to control their husband if their husband does not undertake his responsibility as a husband.

Why do men quit trying AFTER they get the female???? Don't they realize, there ARE other men willing to take her off your hands especailly if she's real pretty. guys should want to adjust until they die. Isn't that what love is all about. If you don't grow, you just DIE. Right?????
