Because you call slander a fact doesn't make it one. It's more than liberals and Democrats that have a problem with Bush these days. Most moderates have a BIG problem with Bush and his war, and many of those moderates fall into Republican territory. Or is just easier to ignore all the Republicans in the House who have spoken out against Bush's policies in Iraq? When he lost a senior statesman like John Warner it became crystal clear that the Republicans are a house divided. Bush's war has created a chaotic and dangerous situation in the Middle East. That isn't being anti-American, it's called acknowledging the obvious. You can attribute any Machiavellian claptrap you like to the Democrats, liberals, moderates, and the Republicans whose consciences won't let them be silent any longer. It doesn't change the reality that instead of really trying to squash terrorism, we are functioning as policemen in the middle of a civil war with no foreseeable end to the madness. That's no fault of our soldiers, it lies squarely on the shoulders of the President who has informed us that he is The Decider. Unfortunately for him, being The Decider will lead to him also being seen as The Man To Blame For Years Of Failure In Iraq - because he had no viable plan for the aftermath and he has miserably mismanaged this war every step of the way. As an American who loves her country and our troops very much I grieve every day when I watch the news and hear about the 5, or 10, or 20 more Americans killed in combat. It grieves me that they are dying because of the military ineptitude and arrogance of their Commander in Chief. If you really believe that any liberal or Democrat would cease caring about a soldier because they are a Republican then it's hard to know what to say to someone like you. The very idea is outrageous and so over the top that it's ludicrous.

Um. Both political parties are about gaining more power in Washington. It's this thing called "politics" and that's how it functions.
And, um, being anti-Bush does not necessarily make you anti-America. Besides, it isn't like the only non-Bush supporters are liberals and Democrats. Even the Republicans are trying to distance themselves from Bush. Just look at the '06 midterm elections.
And, I think the "mostly Republican armed forces" bit is silly. There aren't many people out there (regardless of party) that would just outright sacrifice human lives just to eliminate the constituency of the other party.

bear in mind, the only reason Democrats are in place of work now, is by using the Republicans. if that they had no longer had their heads buried so a strategies up Bush-Chaney backsides they'd have found out that the temper of the yank human beings grew to become into changing. the folk have spoken! it's time to regulate our direction and get out of an intracine warfare. it is not Democrats that are so occupied with the militia deaths, it is the dad and mom of those boys that fail to ascertain any purpose for them to be there. The Democrats are basically echoing the subject.

You're right about one thing. The deaths and injuries to our troops in Iraq is a major concern of mine, especially since I have a dear nephew getting ready to go over there. I hope it is a concern for Democrats and Republicans alike. These are our sons and daughters, the best of our youth. But you are mistaken to believe that it is my ONLY concern or the main concern of many in America. My main concern is the safety of our country . . . now and in the future. We need to be doing MORE to fight terrorism. Iraq is a distraction from that goal. President Bush took his eyes off that goal when he made his initial decision to invade Iraq. And he has a few people who still believe his lies and propaganda that this mess in Iraq is somehow making us safer and fighting "the war on terror."

Yes, you sound like a pickup driving, gun toting, war loving kind of guy.....wow...what a man. You had better start thinking about how we can become a WE not a ME. And you know what, I vote moderate...mostly (but not all) Democratic and I welcome and will listen to your viewpoint as much as any. That's America. But I don't appreciate the tone. Better clean it up bud, or this country wont be around much longer. We better start pulling together.
Yes, hatred is alive and well in America and I dont mean black and white...its red and blue. Boys and girls, we have to stop this kind of thing. It all starts with US. Dont you understand that the system has made it this way. We need big change not just a new president. Who can get us going in that direction...of either party?
And you know what, it further chaps me that you have the nerve to put the American flag on this post. Shame on you. Shame on you.

I hate to burst your bubble, but no one has defeated traditional Conservatism more than Bush. Furthermore, the only anti-American agenda comes from the right. You speak with forked tongue.

When you consider most soldiers vote Republican, you'd think they'd scream in support of war! More war = less Republicans.
See, I'm for everyone else choosing a vegetarian lifestyle.....cheaper meat for me (you have to understand a supply and demand curve for that one....sorry socialists!).

So you claim to know what is in my mind and in my heart better than I do. What a fukcing ego you have. I'm concerned about the American soldiers. I'm also concerned about the Iraqi civilians who most of the cons on this board couldn't give a sh!t about. Anyone who spouts "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" doesn't give a damn about the people over there. They're considered disposable because they're not Americans.

you need help....no i really mean you need help. when are you going to realize that because someone doesnt agree with you, does not mean that they are anti-american. thats so juvenile. and yes, we do care about the troops in iraq...we dont want them to die!!! unlike the conservatives who dont care who dies, as long as its not them or their family, liberals are not willing to send our boys to fight a war that is unjustified.
