firstly, eyeshadow does NOT make you look whoreish. Black eyeliner and mascara does.
Best eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner thing for brn/brn:
Brown MASCARA; it accents and lengthens your lashes without being too obvious. Pull our clumps with fingernails. EYESHADOW: When you're tan, light shades are good. When pale, browns and dark shades are good for up to crease, then bright shades of whatever color you're wearing to match. EYELINER: dark shadow, if you want, on lower lid. Apply with eyeshadow foam thing, then smuge around with fingertips.

Ok, here goes
14 is not too young to begin wearing some make-up. On nice youthful skin a little make-up goes a long way.
Regarding eye-shadow stick to the natural colors, no blue, no green, no purple. A light Bisque will really bring out your brown eyes. Cover Girl makes a little eye-shadow kit, it has 4 colors that all compliment each other with a small applicator.
When you put it on, put it on lightly and blend it up into your eyebrow, so you don't look like you've got this weird separation.
But again, apply lightly.
There is a video on just this subject, it is called "The Eyes Have It" it is narrated by Donna Mills ( who happens to have beautiful eyes and knows a lot about applying eye make-up).
I must have watched this video 1000 times when while trying to teach myself about eye make-up.
Good Luck and have fun

ok im 16... and well 14 is still kind of young for make up but... i suggest MAC... thats what every teenage girl uses now these days.. me favorite.. it is a bit expensive but it worth every penny... well you have brown hair and brown eyes just like i do... so i suggest you use brown colors... goldish... contrast them so that it looks good.. put the darker color from your everylashes to the crease... and then put a really light one from there to the brow... but put a bit of foundation or the light eyeshadow before you put the dark one on... and then you blend the dark a bit with the dark shadow so that way it looks like the dark color is fading and becoming lighter and lighters... natural colors always look nice... try a light/ greenish color.. that looks really nice as well.... well if you need anything or have any questions... you can IM me anytime... good luck...

any color that is the OPPOSITE color of your eyes on the color wheel (i.e. brown eyes-green, blue shade of eyeshadow) Stay away from the tans, browns, or peaches, they will make your eyes look to heavy and small. Pink, purple, blue, green, even gray shades would look good. Jane makes a good selection of colors and is very affordable.

ok, your 14, so a little is all you need. i would go with earth tones. covergirl makes pretty brown shades. apply the darker shade to the lower lid, the medium shade to the middle of the eye lid, and the lightest, which is usually cream colored, to just below your eyebrows. but just experiment with different colors and see what you like. remember a little is all you need.

what's your eye color? I like ALMAY kits for eye color. Depending on what your eye color is, the kit has three shades, one for the whole lid, one for the crease and a highlighter for the browbone. They also have liner and mascara to coordinate with that same eye color line.
