Aircarft carriers and so forth on the way - Assertions of Iran and the Irainian government killing US soldiers - The nuclear show down etc .

Bush is going to war in Iran and likely with help and soon -

It is very obvious although he has been careful not to announce it .

I believe he will not announce it because he knows that it will be blocked and that he has zero credibility at home - He also knows that once the election comes his foriegn policy will be over and this war will force America into a war mentality and more or less his forign poicy for decades no matter who wins

Hitler convinced the German public that if action wasn't taken right away Poland would invade and rule Germany .
The German army must have been a little suspicious when thier tanks met Polish horses and swords .

Oh Hitler started off with a terrorist attack as well to take vast amounts of power and then justify everything Only back then it was the Jews who were the great evil now it's the muslims - Oh and Bush is nice and clean shaven - There are differences between the men -

I hope he is not that stupid.

Our troops are stretched pretty thin already. The Iranians are just saber rattling. They want us out of their sacred land.

Bush whines about Iran giving arms to the insurgents but he should remember we gave arms to the Taliban to fight the USSR.
We also supplied arms for the Contras in Nicaragua against the Sandanistas. These are but a couple of the things we have done to bolster people on our side. Amajinidad is only doing the same thing for people on his side and since he wants to be important and Bush, the diplomat ha ha, is ignoring him he has to get attention some way.

War with Iran would possibly result in the use of Nukes and if so Iran would be wiped off the map. I don't think they are that stupid.

Bush is a war monger of the highest calibre but I hope he is not so stupid as to end his and many fine Republican careers by attacking Iran. The people are against it and I believe Congress is feeling fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

No, we will not be going to war with Iran. If you didn't see his press conference, which I'll assume you didn't he didn't make any mention of any hostile action against Iran. He simply said that he knows a part of the Iranian Armed Forces supplied insurgents with the necessary means to kill U.S. troops. He even went as far as to say that he didn't know if the people in charge in Tehran knew or not, all they know is that a part of the military supplied insurgents. Also, war requires congressional authorization, which he will not get under the Democratically controlled congress (he wouldn't have gotten it under a Republican controlled congress either). Yes, he can technically send troops somewhere as Commander-in-Chief, but that would require funding....funding which the House of Reps holds. So, while he can technically send troops, all Congress would have to do is cut finding. Bush isn't thinking up new ideas just to see how ****** up he can make America contrary to what your question implies, he did what he genuinely believed to be necessary, and while that didn't pan out (which we can all agree on....because honestly this was a war that shouldn't have been started) he didn't do it to screw over the nation.

After looking into it a bit further I need to revise my answer. In accordance with the War Powers Act of 1973 the president is required to talk to congress before any hostile action is taken, and if congress has not declared war or authorized any military action all troops are to be pulled out. So no, troops could not be in Iran long enough to wage war.

Consider how North Korea has been recently dealt with; one cannot say that a war with Iran is inevitable. However, saying that, to avoid such a conflict Iran MUST play a strategic role in defusing the rhetoric...and the Iranian extremists who run that nation have little interest in doing so. If they do not blink, and continue to stir the pot, then any negative outcome will be on their heads. They need to keep themselves to themselves or that region will become a sheet of glass.

When the terrorists bring a suitcase nuke to the US from Iran, I hope they bring it to your home town. I sure don't want one where I am, and I think it's worth fighting against this probability. Much of what has been going on in Iraq has been about Iran. If you have looked at a map, you would know that on one side of Iran is Iraq on the other is Afghanistan. Pakistan is already nuclear. It borders Afghanistan also.

If your read books, perhaps you could find a copy of Future Jihad by Walid Phares and read up on the situation. Sitting pretty here in the US, and feeling isolationist won't cut it any more. Unless you want to be bombed at home.

This man is Bullish on America ha ha and he will not listen or talk to anyone when he wants something he just takes it! That is a dictator and he needs to be slapped down real quick by Congress and the people!! He cannot keep doing these covert activities eh? His buddy Cheney is knee deep in this project and he needs to go take a flying leap! This is not about their personal freedom to manipulate us, and others this is a democracy and before too long they are going to cause a Civil War. They got lucky in the 60's and 70's in the Nam thing because it was a time for peace and love eh? But now that there is no more John Lennon or Bob Dylan to talk to the people and calm them down?
NO instead we have hard core street gang members that are Rapping on and on about the government and violence! So what do you think eh? Good Luck I am with you bubba all for one and one for all!

I will admit that the rhetoric and actions of the administration have led me to believe that this is a definite possibility and I believe it is a major mistake. While I have no doubt that we can properly engage Iran if necessary, I do not believe that it is necessary, nor prudent. Should this come about it will only serve to destabilize the region more and create more animosity in general. I hope that we are both wrong in this conclusion, but the evidence is very hard to ignore.

If Iran receives nukes, Israel will nuke Iran. is this what we want? no human being needs war with Iran (except bush, chaney, fox information, fundis, fascists) yet we ought to convince the global and Iran to eliminate their nuclear objectives.

Where does he plan to get the soldiers? We did not have soldiers available to help durng Katrina. So what is this dumb guys plan?
If we can't win in Iraq what makes him think we can win in Iran.

Funding has got to approved by Congress. Are the Democrats so whimpy they will go along with this after whining about the war in Iraq.
I suppose Halliburton will get this rebuilding project also. On our tax dollars.
