I haven't seen the movie yet, of course- but I already think that the directors have taken ALOT of liberty in creating this film. It looks nothing like the book. It seems like the movie companies are trying to make a buck off of fantasy while it's a hot topic. I love the book, but, I'm doubting the movie. I could be wrong.

I enjoyed the book very much. I also noticed that the trailer was way different than the book. In the book Terabitha is only implied, not described. It focuses on Leslie and Jess's realsonship and growing up. I think the movie looks pretty good though.

I agree 100%. Just from the previews, the movie looks nothing like the book. It seems to have taken one tiny piece from the book and rewritten the whole story. This is an insult to a wonderful book. I suggest everyone read the book and DON'T see the movie.

Yes, the movie has all those monsters and creatures that I'm sure I haven't seen ANYWHERE in that book. I read it in fourth grade, but still, I remember more than you'd think. Aren't they just supposed to IMAGINE these monsters/creatures?
I'm doubtful about the movie too. It seems like nothing with the book.

I agree with you as well. I'd been wondering if I remembered the book wrong (it's been a while since I read it) but the movie trailer looked nothing like I ever read.

I'm going to give the movie a chance. The two kids are imagining their fantasy world and the movie may have a way to make that clear.

Me too! Me too! With disheartening irregularity, Hollywood does sometimes make a spectacular movie version of a book, but I wouldn't count on this being one of those times, unless the person that screenwrote and/or directed it is a fellow fan (like what happened with Pete Jackson and Co. with LOTR). One can always hope, though.

I couldn't agree more. I'll still see the movie, but I LOVED that book, and the trailer just looks off.

I'm inclined to agree with you. It looks like it may still be an enjoyable movie. That was my favorite book as a child, so I'll probably still go see it.

I didn't know there was a film in the making, it's a lovely book ... but are they going to give it Hollywood ending, I certainly hope not.

i've got no longer study that e book, however the movie become idk distinctive. i become happy with Disney for letting the little woman die in view which you do no longer usually see something so severe in alike videos. yet i'm going to confess that I desire that there become a conflict scene or something like in the Narnia video clips: i become looking forward to extra of that style of movie.
