If i have a IDE power supply connector, and my hard drive is SATA is there any way i could convert the ide to sata?

yes you can get ide to sata converters
from most good computer shops.

Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required

No, you need new cables, and possibly a SATA pci card
