I'm thinking about my 3rd year dissertation. Any ideas on what I could study? Something different maybe. But not things as simple as memory, unless its something really different and interesting to test

Whatever you do, dont do ' The effect of categorization on short term memory in depressive subjects'. That was mine and it was BORING. Admittedly you get to do an A prime index ( wow) but I really wish Id thought of something with a bit more pizzaz. Maybe memory and drunkeness? Youd get lots of volunteer subjects (but never get it passed ethics). Maybe looking at the effect of a presenters appearance - the info being delivered by a good looking buxom lady then a droning bumbling professor? I think thats been done quite often but maybe you could find a slightly different angle to it than has already been done.

How about a discursive psychological (discourse analysis) approach to celebrity BB focusing on the discourse of the B list celebrities. Was Shilpa a victim of 'racism', and can we expect to find such discourse in UK society as a whole? It all depends on whether you prefer quantitative or qualitative approaches to research?

There seems to be an awful lot of anarchy out there at the moment, perhaps a study into compliance resistance would be relatively untapped.

How about seperation anxiety in preschool children?
That always fascinated me.
The way the confident children did show at least some - the really withdrawn kids showed none - and didn't care when their parents returned.
All that stuff
