Hi All-
I have a question. I have been dating someone for about 7 weeks. All seemed as if it were going well, only he NEVER mentioned valentine's day. There is a catch. my birthday is Friday, and while it has been mentioned, he hasn't made any plans/asked me out/reserved time to celebrate. My feeling is that as the relationship is so new, v-day would have been the perfect expression of his true interest in me. As he never mentioned it BUT sent a "be my valentine" text to me at 1am this morning, he really has no interest. By the way, I didn't respond to it. I went on and made plans yesterday seeing as I hadn't heard from him about today. But I am dissapointed. My feeling is that V-day is pretty much a girl's holiday and most guys know it. If he were REALLY interested he would have stepped up (I read He's Just Not that In To You-LOL). Am I right? Being a big baby about it all, or do you think he is just overwhelmed by V-day and my B-day on Friday? Thanks!

Consider yourself fortunate. The day isn't over so there may still be plans in the works. Or, perhaps he is planning to make your birthday with him your own "personal" Valentine's Day. (This is a line I would use). Either way you have a chance to "test" him twice within a short time span or (possibly) find out it is time to "move on". Good luck and chin up. And in case you don't hear it today, or Friday, Happy Valentine's Day.
