Normal, its called round-ligament pain and its where muscles and ligaments are stretching as the baby grows. It can very scary if you have never heard of it and it really can hurt. Have no fear all is ok.

if you're talking about below the belly button on either side, I think it's just a muscle/ tendon stretching to hold the extra weight of the uterus. I recall the feeling from my first baby and it freaked me out (then again everything did), but the doctor said it's normal, kinda like when you haven't worked out for a while, then you do, and you feel the individual muscle trying so hard to support all the extra weight. Maybe that doesn't make sense, so ask your doctor. They would be the best resource anyway.

Yeah. Its even normal to have a painful stretching burning feeling around your belly and in your pelvis and hips as the round tendons kick in.

i'm at 15 weeks and I have a bunch of cramps. I dont feel stretching, just feels like gas bubbles floating through my body. and my lower back is killin me. but my appt is on mon and i'm gonna check to make sure everything is ok and normal.

Definety normal... Im 16 weeks w/ my 2nd, and I feel my stomach muscles "pulling" and "stretching" all the time. Totally normal.

Yes its normal. I felt them really early because I was pregnant with twins.. Good Luck

YES and it doesn't stop there!!! You still have a while to go... but don't make yourself feel ugly about them look at them like love marks lol I no that it is hard but trust me it is worth it... Good Luck

this is round ligament pain..very dull most of the time but it will go away soon..and its normal to start feeling it now..good luck and congrats.

If its all the time, its just your skin trying to adjust. If it comes in "waves", then its practice contractions. Both are normal.

I am 14 weeks and I have that feeling. Lotion helps alot!! Good luck and congrats!!!
