about myspace?

Question

whats with myspace and i'm sorry to ask, but how does one use myspace? why is it popular and is it popular? i signed up fer an account but i don'ne know how to use it? sorry, what is it about myspace that people are so drawn to it? how does one chat?
how does one view another profile? how can i see or is it possible to view multiple profiles? is someone out there that can tutor me?
is there any or questions that i should ask about myspace?

MySpace is still popular, despite the bad press it's been getting because parents haven't figured out how to watch their kids.

Once you sign in, you can use the toolbar across the top of the MySpace page to navigate. You'll see options like 'Home', 'Search', 'Music', etc. Clicking any one of those options and typing in a search- for instance, if you like Christina Aguilera and you want to find her page, you type it under the Music or Search categories and a list of pages will come up for her. You can search for your friends by using their email addresses, and there will be a link on their page under their photos where you can click to add them as a friend. Once they have accepted you as a friend, they will show up in your friends list.

You can only view one profile at a time...it's not necessary to view more than one at a time. Most profiles of people who have been on MySpace for awhile will have videos, music, and pictures on their pages, so having more than one open at a time would be a nightmare.

Chatting on MySpace can be done via email or via MySpace IM, which, I'll admit, isn't very popular. Most people already have another chat client that is easier to use (AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Trillian, MSN Messenger, etc.), so you don't have to download that program if you don't want to. It's really not much different than most of the other programs. A lot of people haven't downloaded it, to tell you the truth.

A lot of learning MySpace is playing with it and seeing what everything does. When you are ready to customize your page, there is an easy way to do that via the My Account page when you first sign in. You can do a Google search for websites that have MySpace backgrounds and whatnot. Most of those websites have instructions that will tell you where to put the HTML codes, and how to tailor the code to fit your tastes. Also, utilize the Help tab in MySpace, which you will find further down from the 'Search', 'Home', and 'Music' tabs.

I have both myspace and facebook. I think myspace is a lot cooler. just sign in and go to edit profile. Just fill out all the stuff like, about me, music, tv, etc. And fill out everything else.
to have colors on your profile go to google: search: myspace layouts. You will see hundreds of websites with layouts. once you pick one it will give you a code:copy code. then go to myspace home> edit profile>paste (under about me)>save.
To post videos (to be seen on your profile): go to myspace home you will see a line of words that say home search blog, etc. click on videos, and search certain videos and watch. if you want a specific video copy the code and paste under wherever tv, music, movies, etc. (on edit profile)
you can also post surveys or questionnaires again go to google.com and search surveys for myspace. just get the code, and copy and paste the code on edit profile.
to download pics: have pics on your computer. go to myspace home page, add/edit pics. browse>download.
You can go to search and search for people all over the world with their first and last name, nickname or email address.
go to music and add certain songs of certain artists.
It sound like a lot but its not. try it.

MySpace is popular because you can search for ANYBODY all across the world from different countries. Facebook is limited because you can only search for your school friends.

yes, its in, in the search bar at the top under the people category search a person name, add go to their profile, and click on add to friend, to add a layout go to pimp-my-profile.com get a code for a layout u like, then on your myspace click on edit profile and paste the code in the about me section, click on save changes, the go back to your myspace homepage and click on add/edit photos, upload picz of u. once youve added friends, you can talk to them, comment their profile, and leave image comments. go to account settings and SET YOUR PROFILE TO PRIVATE!!! this allows only your buddies to veiw your profile, and protects your information. people can send u mail, and it will say when u have mail. up in the search bar where u look up friends, click on music, find a band and go to their profile (you can add bands to your buddy list) and add a song that u want. u can also block people by click "block buddy" on their profile... and thats about all i can think of

myspace is out, facebook is the new cool thing. much more organized, unlimited photos, a lot better in my opinion
