I need a name for a monk. He's gonna be a hero, serious, concerned about war and doesn't like fighting, tall and fit, trained to fight but doesn't like violence. It's a fantasy story so it needs to be kind of old sounding nothing new or real short (i.e. even, john, rick, timmonthy, none of those) Any name at all would be a real help. If you want to add a last name you can but I can make one up. I have a ton I just can't decide so I need some more examples.

Why not dive in the classical languages?! Something like 'Theobell' - 'theos', in old Greek is 'God'; 'belle' in latin is 'war'; so it would mean 'God's warrior', and it doesn't sound bad, I think. If the guy is a monk, it should actually fit good!
