I was wondering what day of the year was the day he skipped school? (I don't think there is a true answer but I would take a theory!)

it was a tuesday- if you listen very carefully at the very begining of the movie ( when the paramount sign is still on the screen) you can her the WLS radio jingle, WLS is a talk radio station now, but back then it was music, and Fred Winston was the morning drive DJ. after the jingle is sung, fred says the day, the time, and the temp ( which I remember was 85 degrees, and then says we'll check traffic with Don Nelson and WLS skyview traffic.. then, the conversation fades and the mom is talking in ferris's bedroom.

April or May (as the Cubs were in town). June would be a touch to late in the year to want to cop a day off.
If we could figure out the potential day of the parade, you could narrow it down tighter.
SInce he has had numerous days off, I go with early May myself.

my thought is it had to be spring, cause of the parade and the baseball game but Simone wore a jacket so it was still chilly enough not to be summer, Also it was near the end of the school year so I will guess sometime In April =)
