With all the proof and documentaries, Turkey not admitting the genocide is like G.Bush not admitting that there is global warming!

I just read a book called "forgotten fire", that talks about hte armenian genocide. Now, I didn't know it even happened before the book.... in fact, I don't really know anybody who knows about it. That is because Turkey has been disclaiming it since the 1920's. While it was happeneing, WW1 was going on, so people ignored it. Since then, Nobody really looked into it. But they should have, because Hitler took many of his ideas of his own genocide from the armenian one. Anyway, Turkey is so scared of a war with the armenians and other countires around it that they say it hasnt happened. Only recently, an armenian journalist was killed in Turkey for speaking out about the genocide. They want it to be like it never happened
anyway, the U.N is currently looking into the matter, and I wouldn't be surprized if news stations start talking about it all the time.. but turkey will get mad at this, and could that lead to war???

Who do you punish,it was like 90 years ago? But I think the evidence I've heard suggests it was indeed a true Genocidal Act,not an "apparent genocide". But it was a time of extreme change in Turkey,so in their defense I will say that sometimes when massive change is taking place,sometimes innocent people get caught in the crossfire. That doesn't condone it,it's simply a fact of life proven by History over and over again. YTP

Would you want to admit that your forefathers murdered 1.5 million Armenians? That is not something the Turkish Govt or people want to admit happened because it would be really bad PR for a country trying to clean up it's image to get into the EU.

The same reason that Japan downplays atrocities during World War II, it makes your country look bad. I've been to Turkey several times and always found the people to be very nice, but also very proud. They fiercely defend their national identity.

if you have any proof please show me...but scientifically proven facts...i want them...but of course you will never find...you may find many books in favor of armenian genocide but this cant prove its accuracy....
this theory is an western game whose aim is to divide Turkey...because if turkey admit this lie , they will have to compensate and this compensation will be paid by land!!
