It's free for federal and for state it's like $9.95. I used it last year and was happy. I had my return within a week. I just filed using it this year.

I did mine on TaxAct, it's SO fast and easy. It's free to file, print, and e-file your federal taxes, and only $12.95 to e-file your state taxes. I had 3 W-2's, some stocks, banking statements, and I was done in about 20 minutes. And I got my refund (with free direct deposit) in 8 days.

The IRS website is the best free site, however, for a more accurate result I would suggest http://www.turbotax.com, it will be 19.99 for the deluxe and less for the basic, but its very good and detailed.
